Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking an entry level Stocking Clerk to deliver exceptional service and keep shelves stocked with a wide range of products. You will engage customers, uphold merchandising standards, and work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.

You will learn on the job, handle basic technology, and collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth store operation while contributing to a friendly shopping environment and a strong store performance.

Qualifications

• Entry level team member position exposed to retail tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work overnight shifts.
• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets to shelves accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• You’re comfortable learning and using basic technology
• You follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way
• You stay calm and productive in a fast‑paced environment

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
• You have the ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
