Job summary

Meijer Inc. is hiring a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked, pricing is accurate, and products are readily available for customers. You will assist customers with product information and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

You will work in a fast-paced retail setting with overnight shifts, supporting leadership and other team members to meet daily store goals. This entry-level role offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the Meijer family.

Qualifications

• Entry-level stocking clerk responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining organized shelves.
• Ability to learn and use basic technology and follow store procedures.
• Capable of physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets to shelves efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard in back-room areas.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
