Job summary

Miles Chevrolet is expanding its service team in 2025 and seeks motivated lube techs to join a clean, safe shop with top pay and benefits. Prior or current schooling is a plus, and duties include oil changes, tire rotations, and various filter replacements.

Qualifications

• Must have prior experience as a lube tech or tire tech.
• At least 1 year of automotive experience in a lube tech/tire tech position.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatchers and take to stall area.
• Perform routine maintenance with efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform MPI and 27-point used car inspection with photos/videos for upsell support.
• Diagnose causes of entry-level malfunctions and perform authorized repairs.
• Communicate with Parts to obtain needed parts via xTime.
• Document and quality-check work performed.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatchers and take to stall area
• Perform routine maintenance assigned with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership
• Perform complete MPI and 27 point used carinspection with photos and videos to assist advisors in upsells
• Diagnose cause of any entry level malfunctions and perform repair as authorized (subject to experience)
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts via xTime
• Tag & save parts, turn in parts, if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer
• Advise Service Advisor immediately if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed or if repairs cannot be complete within promised timeine>
• Document & quality check work performed
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed customer complaint
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
• Ensure that work area and customers' vehicle are kept clean
• Administer safety & housekeeping policies/procedures
• Understand/follow federal/state/local regulation, governing service repair work

Qualifications

• Certificate completed or in progress for Automotive Technology preferred
• At least 1yearof automotiveexperience required ata lube tech/tire tech position
• Ability to read, analyze & interpret technical procedures
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence & procedure manuals
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs
• Basic mathematical skills & reasoning ability
• Current, valid driver's license & satisfactory MVR
