Carter Machinery in Warrenton, VA is seeking an Express Lube Technician to work on-site over a weekend schedule. You will lubricate, inspect and service equipment, manage fluids and parts, and prepare reports for work orders.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in a shop environment, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification. Carter Machinery offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have an excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Capability of operating boom truck or equivalent.
• Overhead and field service cranes.
• Operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer sites.
• Proficiency with computer, Microsoft Office and service software.
• Complete service reports and provide details for work orders.
• Willingness to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of various machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels for engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease into units using hand or compressed-air grease gun.
• Drain oil and refill with required amount.
• Collect oil samples for testing.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Recommend additional services during inspection review.
• Monitor and maintain inventories of oil and filters.
• Inform customer of upcoming service due dates and recommend future service.

Job Title: Express Lube Technician

Location: Warrenton, Virginia

Shift: Weekend

Starting Compensation Range: $34.97 - $43.96 per hour + Shift Differential

What You Will Do:

• Lubricate moving parts of various types of machinery with specified lubricants
• Inspect fluid levels for various compartments, including engine, hydraulics, transmission etc. (water, oil and grease)
• Inject grease into units using hand or compressed- air powered grease gun
• Drain oil and refill with required amount
• Collect oil samples for testing
• Replace oil and air filters
• Recommend other services with customer as part of inspection review process
• Monitor and maintain inventories of oil, filters, etc.
• Inform customer of upcoming service due dates and make recommendation for future service
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment
• High school diploma or GED, required
• Valid driver's license
• Must have an excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with ability to perform responsibilities at customer job site with minimal supervision
• Capability of operating boom truck or equivalent
• Proper use of overhead and field service cranes
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job-sites
• Proficiency in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software
• Ability to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders
• Willingness to work overtime as required by job and customer demand
