Carter Machinery Company, Inc. is hiring an Express Lube Technician for a weekend shift in Felton, Delaware. Starting compensation ranges from $30.45 to $38.28 per hour, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus split across hire and after 90 days.

You will service machinery, inspect fluids, and perform preventive maintenance for our customers. We seek a candidate with at least 2 years of shop experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED, required.
• Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
• Ability to obtain CDL or DOT certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work at customer sites with minimal supervision.
• Capability to operate heavy equipment and cranes.
• Proficiency with computer and service software; complete service reports.
• Willingness to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels in engines, hydraulics, and transmissions.
• Inject grease using grease gun and drain/refill oil as needed.
• Collect oil samples and replace filters.
• Recommend additional services during inspections.
• Monitor inventories of oil, filters, and parts.
• Inform customers about future service needs.
• Complete service reports and update work orders.
• Oversee job-site safety and documentation.

Job Title: Express Lube Technician

Location: Felton, Delaware

Shift: Weekend

Starting Compensation Range: $30.45 - $38.28 per hour

What You Will Do

• Lubricate moving parts of various types of machinery with specified lubricants
• Inspect fluid levels for various compartments, including engine, hydraulics, transmission etc. (water, oil and grease)
• Inject grease into units using hand or compressed- air powered grease gun
• Drain oil and refill with required amount
• Collect oil samples for testing
• Replace oil and air filters
• Recommend other services with customer as part of inspection review process
• Monitor and maintain inventories of oil, filters, etc.
• Inform customer of upcoming service due dates and make recommendation for future service
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

What We\'re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years\' experience in a shop service environment
• High school diploma or GED, required
• Valid driver\'s license
• Must have an excellent driving record and the ability to obtain a CDL or DOT certification
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with ability to perform responsibilities at customer job site with minimal supervision
• Capability of operating boom truck or equivalent
• Proper use of overhead and field service cranes
• Ability to operate a variety of equipment in the field and on customer job-sites
• Proficiency in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software
• Ability to complete service reports and provide pertinent details for work orders
• Willingness to work overtime as required by job and customer demand
