Job summary

Hanania Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - St Augustine, FL 32086-5762 is seeking an automotive technician. Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance with precision and in line with dealership and factory standards.

Diagnose vehicle issues and perform necessary repairs; inspect vehicles for service needs and install optional equipment as requested by customers. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; automotive training or certification preferred; ASE certification preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; automotive training or certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities; attention to detail and communication skills.
• Automotive repair and maintenance experience preferred; ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic maintenance per dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose vehicle issues and perform necessary repairs.
• Inspect vehicles for service needs and install optional equipment as specified by the customer or dealer.
• Inspect and test drive newly delivered vehicles for damage and missing components.
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor and maintain tools/manuals.
• Communicate with Parts Department and service advisors to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and in optimal condition; report discrepancies.
• Uphold high safety and ethical standards in a safe, compliant work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support dealership operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; automotive technical training or certification preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
• Automotive repair and maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong willingness to excel and learn is essential.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and work in various physical conditions.
• Capability to inspect and perform repairs, including bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check and hair follicle drug screen.
