Job summary
The University of Missouri-Columbia seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner) for the Express Care Clinic in Columbia, MO. This role offers independence with support from UM Health Care's Department of Family & Community Medicine.
Responsibilities include physical assessments, diagnostic testing, and prescribing for patients aged 24 months and up, using integrated EMR and e-prescribing systems. Clinic hours run 7:00 AM–7:00 PM weekdays, with weekend coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
- Missouri RN license or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
- Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program; must be granted a Document of Recognition from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical assessments for patients aged 24 months and older.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, treat common conditions, and prescribe medications.
- Work independently in a busy acute care clinic within a family medicine setting, with support from UM Health Care Department.
