Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse serves as a resource nurse who plans, coordinates, evaluates, provides for, and delivers health care services to patients under the direction of the Walk in Clinic provider.

Position Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A current Iowa certification as a CMA.
• A current Iowa license as an LPN or RN is required.

Preferred Skills

• Computer Skills Preferred.
• Six months previous ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers.
• Organizational skills, with attention to detail, including time management and workflow required.
• Advanced knowledge of nursing practice, including the ability to make sound judgments in clinical situations.
• Understanding of teaching/learning principles.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Obtain certification in BCLS within three months of hire/in position.
