Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking an Exportability and Acquisition Analyst to support the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation from the Pentagon and/or Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

You will research geopolitical developments and monitor foreign defense and acquisition activities to support international partnerships. You will help develop metrics, information papers, and talking points for senior leaders and assist in coordinating

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting DoW acquisition programs, security cooperations, or defense exportability initiatives.
  • Familiar with ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.
  • Master's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze, and monitor the geopolitical environment with a focus on foreign partner defense activities, military capabilities, and acquisition strategies.
  • Support bi- and multi-lateral engagements with international partners.
  • Develop key metrics for international armaments cooperation activities.
  • Develop information papers, presentations, and talking points for senior ASW IAC leaders.

The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG’s support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation’s strategic resource objectives. We have an immediate need for an Exportability and Acquisition Analyst to provide onsite support out of the Pentagon and/or the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

The Exportability and Acquisition Analyst will support the newly formed Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for International Armaments Cooperation, specifically the Strategic Development and Program directorate. Research, analyze, and monitor the geopolitical environment with a focus on foreign partner defense activities, military capabilities, and acquisition strategies. Supporting bi- and multi-lateral engagements with international partners. Develop key metrics for international armaments cooperation activities. Develop information papers, presentations, and talking points for senior ASW IAC leaders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, International Relations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting DoW acquisition programs, security cooperations, or defense exportability initiatives.
  • Familiar with ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Able to work fully onsite based onclient needs.

Pay Range Information

Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $105,000.00/Yr. - USD $120,000.00/Yr.
