Job summary

Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab is seeking a Team Assistant/Busser to support our service staff in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment. The TA role involves clearing dishware, polishing silverware, glassware, and setting tables for service, with emphasis on teamwork and professionalism.

Restaurant experience is preferred; candidates should be reliable, able to stand for long shifts, and contribute to guest satisfaction. Hourly pay plus tips ranges from $17 to $25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per performance standards.
• Open/close Team Assistant duties as directed.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness and safety; report issues to Leadership.
• Assist servers with cleaning and resetting tables.
• Set up and maintain service support stations.
• Restock restroom and maintain restrooms.
• Restock plates, flatware, and glassware to assigned areas.
• Attend Ambassador meetings and bring suggestions for improvements.
• Maintain professional appearance; work with teamwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking Team Assistant/Busser candidates who will dedicate themselves to this purpose in joining our exceptional team of professionals. The Team Assistant position is the backbone of our operations, providing all supplies needed to our professional service staff. The TA role requires clearing dishware, polishing silverware, glassware, and setting the dinner tables for service. This is a fast-paced position that requires team members to keep a brisk pace. Successful candidates must have previous hospitality experience, and a proven history of professionalism, accountability, and team commitment. Experience as a Team Assistant with similar high-volume, upscale, fine dining concepts is preferred.

Compensation

Hourly and Tips. (Potential to make $17-$25/hr)

Required Training / Education / Experience

Restaurant experience preferred but not necessary. Knowledge of wait staff and guest needs. All Ambassadors are required to have a telephone number where they can be reached.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for 9 hours.


• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.


• Ability to perform all job functions while wearing the specified uniform, including proper footwear.

Long Description Of Responsibilities / Duties

• Perform job functions in accordance with performance standards.


• Perform Team Assistant opening duties and closing duties as directed.


• Maintain dining room cleanliness and safety; report any issues to Leadership.


• Assist servers with cleaning and re-setting tables.


• Set up and maintain service support stations.


• Maintain, clean, and restock restroom throughout the shift.


• Properly dispose of leftover garbage, stack plates, wrap glasses, separate silverware, and dispose of duty linen.


• Pre-set large parties and prioritize table re-set with host department.


• Inform host department or Leadership of table availability.


• Restock plates, flatware, and glassware to assigned areas.


• Attend all Ambassador meetings and bring suggestions for improvements.


• Always maintain clean and professional appearance.


• Work with Teamwork always in mind.


• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
