Job summary

Paycom - ATS in The Villages, FL is seeking a restaurant professional to support a fast-paced service environment. You will use the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to keep orders moving, ensure accuracy, and accommodate guest modifications.

You will maintain quality and presentation, assist with expo, side work, and cleanliness; follow safety guidelines; handle allergen orders; and help expedite service across dining rooms, catering, and bar areas. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
• Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
• Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
• Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain service flow, control cost/waste, and prepare items to spec.
• Ensure high-quality preparation and presentation; keep hot items hot and cold items cold.
• Organize table orders in the expo area according to tickets.
• Complete side work and station maintenance.
• Set up, clean, and organize the work area before, during, and after each shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage re-cooks and special-order requests, including allergen orders.
• Expedite service for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant attitude and contribute to a teamwork-based environment.
• Support the service team to create new and repeat business and minimize guest complaints.
• Other duties as assigned

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) effectively to maintain the flow of service, control cost/waste, and prepare items to spec and accommodate guest modifications
• Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items; confirms hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
• Organize the table orders in the expo area according to the tickets.
• Complete specific side work and station maintenance.
• Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage the preparation of all re-cooks and special-order requests, including allergen orders.
• Expedite the service of food for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
• Support the service team in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
