Job summary

JHG Group - IHOP in the United States is hiring to welcome guests, seat them, and ensure smooth guest flow. You will assist servers, handle the wait list, and support kitchen and expo teams to deliver timely meals.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills are required.
• Mobility is required during the entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and move objects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Opens door for guests arriving and departing.
• Greets and seats guests in a friendly manner and helps manage guest flow.
• Accommodates special needs (boosters, highchairs, disabilities).
• Manages the Wait List when the restaurant is full.
• Provides guest assistance to servers as needed.
• Keeps a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned.
• Sets up feature board and inflates balloons.
• Ensures food for dine-in and TOGO orders is prepared timely and delivered to tables.
• Ensures orders are cooked timely and ready, not sitting in window for long.
• Ensures food is plated properly and matches order description.
• Delivers food promptly with available staff, including self.
• Properly bags TOGO orders to ensure accuracy.
• Keeps expo area clean and well-stocked during shift.
• During slow times, rolls silverware and bussing tables.

Responsibilities:

Opens door for guests arriving and departing.

Greets (both arriving and departing) and seats all guests in a friendly manner and assists in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant.

Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities.

Manages the Wait List when the restaurant is full.

Provides guest assistance to servers as needed.

Maintains a clean and organized work area and completes cleaning as assigned

Fills out the feature board and inflates balloons.

Ensuring all food for guests and TOGO’s are completed in a timely manner and delivered to tables within expected ticket times

Ensure that orders are being cooked in a timely manner

Ensure that orders are ready and not sitting in the window for an extended period

Ensure that food is plated properly and matches the description of the order

Ensure quick delivery of food using all available staff including yourself

Performing proper procedures when bagging TOGO orders ensuring accuracy

Keeping expo area clean and well-stocked during shift.

Also responsible for performing the following tasks when slow I.E. rolling silverware, bussing tables etc.

Requirements:

Reading, writing and verbal communication skills are required.

Mobility is required during the entire shift.

Transports and carries objects (such as high-chair) up to 15 pounds

Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor, and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the restaurant.
