Job summary

Ruby Tuesday Bartow is seeking an Expo to ensure timely food prep, coordinate with service and kitchen teams, and expedite TueGo/Catering orders while maintaining accuracy and presentation.

You will manage KDS, stage orders, and keep work areas clean and organized, supporting a fast-paced dining environment and guest satisfaction.

This entry-level role offers flexible scheduling, with opportunities to learn food safety and teamwork across the dining room, bar and catering services.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) to maintain service flow and prep items per spec.
• Ensure high quality prep and presentation; keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold.
• Organize table orders in expo area according to tickets.
• Complete side work and station maintenance.
• Set up, clean, and organize work area before, during, and after shifts.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage re-cooks and special-order/allergen requests.
• Expedite service for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.

JOBSUMMARY

Expo is responsible for ensuring all food orders are prepared within a timely manner, according to Guest special requests, and Ruby Tuesday recipes. Communicates with service and heart of house teams to expedite all food deliveries for TueGo/Catering, dining room, and bar areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) effectively to maintain the flow of service, control cost/waste, and prepare items to spec and accommodate guest modifications
• Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items; confirms hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
• Organize the table orders in the expo area according to the tickets.
• Complete specific side work and station maintenance.
• Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage the preparation of all re-cooks and special-order requests, including allergen orders.
• Expedite the service of food for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
• Support the service team in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state and local serving regulations.
• Ability to operate a computer, phone and other office equipment.
• Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
