Job summary

Ruby Tuesday in Alcoa, TN is seeking a crew member for the Expo station. You will ensure timely food preparation, communicate with service and kitchen teams, and handle TueGo/Catering orders.

You will operate the Kitchen Display System, maintain quality, organize expo tickets, and perform station cleanup. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on safety and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Kitchen Display System to maintain service flow, control costs, and prep items to spec.
• Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold; present items to standard.
• Organize expo table orders by tickets.
• Complete side work and station maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area before, during, and after shifts.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Prepare re-cooks and allergen orders as needed.
• Expedite service for TueGo, Catering, dining room and bar.
• Maintain a friendly attitude and support teamwork.
• Assist service team to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.

Expo is responsible for ensuring all food orders are prepared within a timely manner, according to Guest special requests, and Ruby Tuesday recipes. Communicates with service and heart of house teams to expedite all food deliveries for TueGo/Catering, dining room, and bar areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Utilize the Kitchen Display System (KDS) effectively to maintain the flow of service, control cost/waste, and prepare items to spec and accommodate guest modifications
• Ensure the highest quality preparation and presentation of food items; confirms hot food is hot and cold food is cold.
• Organize the table orders in the expo area according to the tickets.
• Complete specific side work and station maintenance.
• Responsible for the set-up, cleanliness, and organization of the work area before, during, and after every shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Manage the preparation of all re-cooks and special-order requests, including allergen orders.
• Expedite the service of food for TueGo, Catering, dining room, and bar areas.
• Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment.
• Support the service team in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires regular attendance; requires the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time; frequently required to hear, speak, walk, crawl, climb, stand, reach, bend, balance, kneel, stoop, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs; requires ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature, and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
