InsightFS in Wisconsin offers an Agronomy Operations internship under location management to learn the foundation of the system and industry and prepare for a future career. You will gain hands-on experience in agronomy and assist with operations, maintenance, and customer relations.

The role includes field scouting with research equipment, crop nutrition and protection applications, and building experience in ordering, receiving, and inventory control.

Competenze

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification and in good academic standing at time internship begins.
• Ability to obtain a CDL and commercial applicator's license with required endorsements, driving record, and medical card.
• Able to travel independently and overnight when necessary.
• Frequently lift 51-70 pounds and work in varied weather and heights.
• Experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: InsightFS is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across the state and upper peninsula of Michigan. Insight FS has 430+ employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 50,000 customers. The cooperative does business in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. InsightFS is part of the GROWMARK System, an agricultural cooperative serving more than 100,000 customers across North America and Ontario, Canada.

Serves as the Agronomy Operations intern under the direction of location management, trains and assists with general Agronomy functions to learn the foundation of the system and industry prepare for future career.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university and in good academic standing at time the internship begins. Must have ability to obtain a CDL and commercials applicator's license with required endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and valid medical card. Ability To Work Independently. Demonstrates Essential Abilities including communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Must be able to travel independently and overnight when necessary. Frequently required to lift 51-70 pounds as needed. Frequently exposed and required to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.), as well as working at various heights or elevated platforms. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
