Boston Consulting Group seeks Experts in Expert Consultant or Expert Project Leader roles to advance CFO Excellence initiatives. You will join our CFOx team, partnering with CFOs to reimagine finance operating models, unlock advanced analytics and AI, and drive transformative value across clients.

You will join a BCG team, own workstreams end-to-end, collaborate with clients, and grow your expertise within the firm.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of experience in finance and related topics.
• Previous consulting experience is required.

BCG is looking for an Expert Consultant or Project Leader to join our CFO Excellence team. Our CFOx team partners with CFOs to tackle their most pressing challenges - reimagining finance operating models for peak efficiency, unlocking the power of advanced analytics and AI, and driving transformative value across the organization. As an Expert Consultant, you will be integrated into a BCG team to leverage your deep expertise on projects that reshape finance functions. You will be given end-to-end responsibility for a workstream within a BCG project. You will work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, and win buy-in for your recommendations, while also collaborating with colleagues on complex client issues. You will provide deep expertise and insight to clients and help build your expertise area within BCG. A majority of your time will be focused on supporting and executing case work.

Expert Project Leaders play a key role on client engagements, managing projects within their domain of expertise to define client needs and supervising team activities to develop and deliver relevant insights. They oversee the formulation of hypotheses for problem solving and investigation, apply advanced analytical and financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data, and leverage deep domain expertise alongside business principles to develop actionable recommendations. Expert Project Leaders supervise work including strategic due diligence, product development initiatives, change management programs, and the evaluation of long-term investment opportunities, and are responsible for managing client contact and playing a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.

What You’ll Bring

• 5-10+ years of experience in finance across topics such as finance function effectiveness, CFO advisory, FP&A, process and policy, technology, operations, organizational structure and strategy, and/or transformation.
• Previous consulting experience is required.
• Proven experience working on finance transformation programsincluding: operating model redesign, process re-engineering, technology enablement, shared services, finance technology, budgeting, management reporting and Business Intelligence, core accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit, AI and machine learning.
• Experience in finance technology stacks, process optimization, and data architecture to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
• Strong consulting skill set with a demonstrated willingness to learn and grow.
• Entrepreneurial, driven, and proactive mindset with a strong work ethic.
• Collaborative working style with a proven ability to team effectively across BCG and with clients.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients by deeply understanding their business and challenges.
• Advanced degree in a related field (preferred).

The base compensation for this role is:

• Expert Consultant: $190,000 in USD
• Expert Project Leader: $225,400 in USD

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market leading benefits package described below.
