Summary

Under minimal supervision using formal and informal blueprints fabricate prototype components and assemblies from the initial design phase all the way through full production. Must be able to coordinate complicated set-ups and operate both CNC and manual lathes. New hire is required to operate standard machine shop equipment and could read and interpret manufacturing drawings.

Qualifications

• Y14.5 Blueprint Interpretation
• 6-8 years minimum in CNC lathe operation and set-up.
• Knowledge of machine sequence of operations and application of that knowledge in set-up lay-out and tool selection.
• Must have tool design experience.
• Must be able to think on your feet in a fast-paced work environment.
• Parts testing and troubleshooting background a plus.

2nd Shift:

2:15pm - 10:45pm

Education And Experience

Applicants are required to have a minimum of five years’ CNC lathe, and mill experience. Applicants must have knowledge of standard shop practices and procedures along with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and demonstrate the use of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine data on manufacturing routers and SPC charts.

Mathematical Skill

Applicants must demonstrate the use of technical math (trigonometry, geometry) to solve standard manufacturing problems and basic calculations.
