Job summary

ARTECHOUSE is hiring for its experiential bar team in our DC art space. We seek positive, hospitality-driven individuals for full-time or part-time roles. As the face of the bar, you will craft cocktails, ensure a clean, organized space and engage guests with the story behind each beverage.

The role emphasizes guest experience, attention to detail, and adherence to beverage regulations, with opportunities to discuss the exhibition inspiration while serving drinks.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a bartender.
• Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks.
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of our experiential bar and responsible for our guests’ experiences.
• Ensure bar is clean and organized.
• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages.
• Interact with customers, take orders, serve drinks, and discuss the inspiration behind them.
• Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Plan and present bar menu.
• Check customer’s identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Be an extension of our exhibition.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
