Job summary

ND Energy Services is seeking a rugged maintenance worker to join a crew servicing oil & gas wells. You will operate mud pumps, handle pipe, and assist rigging up/down the workover rig.

Responsibilities include daily upkeep, safety compliance, recording incidents, and supporting shop and yard tasks in all weather. 14-on/7-off rotation; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous workover experience required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background checks.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Operate mud pump, pipe wranglers, mix fluids, and maintain equipment.
• Assist on loading/off-loading pipe and rigging up/down workover rig.
• Work with crew on maintenance of oil & gas wells.
• Attend safety meetings and follow health/safety policies.
• Report incidents to Rig Supervisor.
• Work in all weather and long shift rotations (14 on/7 off).

Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Works with a three to five person crew performing maintenance and repairs on oil & gas wells
• Responsible for operating the mud pump, pipe wranglers, mixing fluids and performing equipment upkeep
• Picks up/lays down pipe and latches tubing in elevators
• Assists in loading and off-loading pipe and other items
• Manages tools on the workover rig floor and assists in daily maintenance
• Assists with rigging up and rigging down the workover rig
• Works in the shop or assists in NDES Yard maintenance when necessary
• Assists in repairs and preparing workover rig for deployment when necessary
• Attends and participates in daily and monthly safety meetings
• Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations that are required
• Report any and all incidents immediately to Rig Supervisor
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Performs other duties as directed by management

Work Environment

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position that typically works a 14 day on/7 day off rotation. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work (including holidays) as job duties demand.
