You will support veterinarians with exams and surgeries, perform venipuncture, diagnostic tests, and client education to ensure high-quality, compassionate care for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and patient recovery.
• Strong phlebotomy and laboratory diagnostic skills.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, client-friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and administer medications and vaccines
• Conduct and process diagnostic tests including bloodwork, urinalysis, and radiographs
• Monitor and care for anesthetized patients during surgical procedures
• Maintain accurate patient medical records using practice management software
• Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care instructions
• Ensure exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and properly sanitized
