Job summary

Paz Veterinary North in Austin, Texas is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who takes pride in strong clinical skills, compassionate patient care, and being an essential part of a collaborative veterinary team.

You will assist veterinarians, perform diagnostics and procedures, monitor anesthesia, and educate clients while maintaining accurate medical records in a Fear Free environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a veterinary technician is required.
• Credentialed techs are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in a Fear Free environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, radiographs, and in-house testing.
• Monitor patients under anesthesia and support safe, effective care.
• Use Fear Free handling techniques to reduce stress during visits.
• Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
• Help keep the hospital clean, organized, and running efficiently.
