Job summary

Commonwealth Animal Hospital seeks an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join a collaborative and supportive team. You will work with advanced medicine and surgery, assisting with anesthesia, patient care, and client education in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Backup anesthesia and monitoring experience.
• Surgical nursing and patient prep experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with anesthesia calculations and monitoring.
• Intubate patients and support anesthesia procedures.
• Place and monitor IV catheters.
• Prepare patients and surgical suites for procedures.
• Perform surgical nursing duties and patient discharge.
• Rotate between inpatient and outpatient care.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians; communicate clearly.
• Educate clients and provide compassionate care.
