Responsibilities
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and veterinary team by:
- Assisting with patient restraint, nursing care, and treatment procedures
- Supporting surgical and dental procedures, including preparation and recovery monitoring
- Assisting with laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and sample collection
- Educating clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment documentation
- Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment and treatment areas
- Assisting with emergency and urgent care cases as needed
- Providing compassionate, professional customer service to clients and their pets
- Helping maintain a positive, collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
