VCA Northside Animal Hospital in Danbury, CT is hiring a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We provide primary care, illness care, surgery and dentistry in a one-doctor hospital setting.

Compensation ranges from $18 to $25 per hour based on skill, experience and licensure. This role includes a Saturday rotation and opportunities for career development within a large veterinary community.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician status (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery.
• Assist with anesthesia and monitoring during procedures.
• Administer IV fluids and calculate CRI dosages.
• Operate Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging and communicate with clients upon discharge.

Compensation: $18 - $25 / hr is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status

Potential Schedule:

Full time, Saturday rotation required
