Job summary

UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking a Locator III in Nashville to independently mark standard, complex and unique underground utilities with flags and paint, ensuring projects are safe and efficient.

The role requires a minimum of three years locating experience, a valid US driver’s license, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. We offer weekly pay, PTO/holidays, 401(k) with match, stock purchase plan, education reimbursement, and more.

Responsibilities

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark all facility types and all ticket types in any area.
• Troubleshoot difficult locates and help in locating high-profile cable lines.
• Performs audits or damage investigations as assigned by supervisor.
• Read utility maps to find underground utilities correctly.
• Document all locates.
• Respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices.
• Communicate well with excavators, utility representatives, and company staff.
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• A minimum of three years locating experience
• Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• 1 year plus locate exp

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle, squeeze, find hand motion, bend, stoop, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: use portable ladder, work in confined spaces and climb stairs

The wage range for Experienced Utility Line Locator is $25.00 - $30.00.
