Job summary

Capital Medical Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Urology team in Washington, DC. The APP will work closely with urologists to provide comprehensive care for patients with various urologic conditions, including preoperative and postoperative management.

Responsibilities include patient examinations, developing treatment plans, assisting in procedures, ordering labs and diagnostic tests, and contributing to a collaborative, team-based clinic

Qualifications

• Graduation from accredited NP program with a Master's degree or higher.
• Current DC Board of Nursing RN and NP licenses.
• Board certification as NP by AANP or ANCC.
• Current BLS/CPR certification to start.
• DEA registration to prescribe medications.

Responsibilities

• Determine an appropriate patient care plan using medical decision-making.
• Collaborate with the medical team for team-based care.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests and explain them to patients.
• Perform department- or practice-guided procedural skills.
• Precept students or medical learners when possible.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
