Pape’ Kenworth is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic for the swing shift to service and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will diagnose, repair, and rebuild components, ensuring uptime for customers.

You will join a team with robust training, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits as part of a family-owned dealer network. Applicants should have 2+ years of relevant experience and own tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in repairing medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, engine repair, electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, and chassis work.
• Diesel tech degree accepted as alternative.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins MX software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks to high standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; determine best solutions.
• Repair or rebuild major components such as engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Work with other technicians in a fully equipped shop to deliver top-quality work.
• Shift is Monday–Friday 3:30pm–midnight.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll take on the challenge of maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring every job is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will directly support our customers’ success by keeping their trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime.

Each day, you’ll diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying the best solutions to restore each truck to peak performance. Your work may include repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.

Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to continue improving your skills while working alongside other highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop. With the right tools, training, and support at your disposal, you’ll perform top-quality work that makes a real impact.

This team member will work Monday ‑ Friday 3:30pm ‑ midnight.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair. Will also accept candidates with a Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
• Basic computer knowledge. Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Compensation: $34.80-36.90/hr (Depending on Experience)
