Kenworth Louisiana is seeking a Diesel Technician- Class C to perform repair tasks with minimal supervision in a shop environment. You will work from repair orders, communicate with parts, document work, and maintain tools while upholding safety standards.
The role requires a diesel school degree or 6 months to 1 year of related experience; OEM certifications are preferred and a valid driver license is desirable. This full-time position supports customer vehicles and fleet service.
Diesel Technician- Class C
The Technician Class C position is responsible for performing most assigned tasks with minimal
supervision. This role requires a solid foundation of mechanical knowledge and a strong willingness
to learn from more experienced colleagues. The Technician Class C position is distinguished from
the Service Technician D class by the reduced level of supervision needed to complete tasks.
Candidates for this role should demonstrate an ability to work independently while still seeking
guidance when necessary.
The employees will be exposed to moving parts and electrical current. This position will also have
employees exposed to grease, chemicals, dust, and dirt. Employees must also be able to lift at
least 50 pounds and require the employee to frequently work in a crouched position or lying on the
back, on mechanic's dolly beneath motor vehicles. The workload of this position is often performed in a
non-climate-controlled environment.
