Job summary

Pape’ Kenworth seeks an Experienced Truck Technician to service medium and heavy-duty Class 7/8 trucks. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure maximum uptime in a busy shop environment.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, two+ years of experience, and Cummins MX software familiarity. Kenworth certifications are preferred; you must provide your own tools and thrive in a customer-focused setting.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As our Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you’ll take on the challenge of maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring every job is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will directly support our customers’ success by keeping their trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime.

Each day, you’ll diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying the best solutions to restore each truck to peak performance. Your work may include repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.

Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to continue improving your skills while working alongside other highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop. With the right tools, training, and support at your disposal, you’ll perform top-quality work that makes a real impact.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair. Will also accept candidates with a Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge. Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Compensation: $29.80-34.35/hr (Depending on Experience)
