Pape' Kenworth – Redmond, OR is seeking an Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic to maintain and repair medium and heavy‑duty Class 7 & 8 trucks. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and repair major components in a fully equipped shop.

The role requires 2+ years’ experience on heavy trucks, basic computer skills, and a willingness to learn with our training programs and mentorship. Compensation is competitive with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience on medium/heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronics, HVAC, and chassis.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge; Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self-motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks to high standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, identifying best solutions.
• Repair or rebuild major components such as cabs, steering, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical and air systems.
• Collaborate with other technicians in a fully equipped shop and continue skill development.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As our Experienced Truck Technician / Mechanic, you'll take on the challenge of maintaining and repairing medium and heavy-duty Class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring every job is completed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will directly support our customers' success by keeping their trucks running smoothly and maximizing uptime.

Each day, you'll diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, identifying the best solutions to restore each truck to peak performance. Your work may include repairing or rebuilding major components such as cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, and air systems.

Each day, you'll have the opportunity to continue improving your skills while working alongside other highly trained technicians in a fully equipped shop. With the right tools, training, and support at your disposal, you'll perform top-quality work that makes a real impact.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• 2 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble‑shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair. Will also accept candidates with a Diesel tech degree and a mechanical aptitude/background.
• Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge. Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
• Self‑motivation and assertiveness.
• Ability to work under little or no supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
• Must provide own tools.

Compensation:

Compensation: $29.80-34.35/hr (Depending on Experience)
