Position Summary

As a member of the tool hook-up design engineering team, you will be responsible for the output and delivery of 3D Revit models, 2D CAD details, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to Samsung's internal and external construction partners. You will lead and participate in developing and maintaining design standards, performing and confirming fundamental engineering analysis of design, resolving field clash issues, and closing RFIs to support build-out.

The role requires close partnership with our construction leads, trade contractors, and fab engineering to deliver high-quality semiconductor facilitation to the manufacturing floor. This is a technical, hands‑on role if you are interested in continuous improvement, iterative problem‑solving, and working as part of a dynamic team sharing a hyper‑growth mindset.

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Direct contract designers to execute design packages as needed.
  • Leverage the use of emerging analytical technology to support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with project stakeholders to adapt existing process to site‑specific requirements.
  • Represent the department in meetings with external support organizations such as tool vendors, construction teams, hook‑up fabricators, and software developers.
  • Verify equipment object accuracy and placement against hook‑up concept direction and equipment layout.
  • Review and approval of design‑related RFIs.
  • Coordination of field walks with internal and external construction teams to verify as‑built accuracy.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline. Mechanical preferred.
  • 2+ years of industry or related VDC/BIM experience. Preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with CAD design software. Preferably Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit.
  • Ability to read and understand 3D MEP models, 2D CAD drawings, and Bills of Materials.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly on‑site alongside trade contractors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
