Morrie’s Bellevue Hyundai in Bellevue, NE is seeking an Automotive Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes. You’ll run tests, document repairs, and ensure safety and quality before returning vehicles to customers.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Entry-level knowledge of cars can be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes and related systems.
• Test vehicles to ensure systems and components are secure and functioning properly.
• Road-test and use diagnostic tools to verify repairs.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Follow checklists to inspect critical parts of the vehicle.
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes and other components.
• Utilize power tools and machine tools to remove bolts and rebuild parts.
• Use common hand tools to service vehicle components.
• Prepare and write vehicle damage repair estimates.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing problems with the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems.
• Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.
• Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
• Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Following a checklist in ensuring that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle.
• Watching or inspecting closely parts like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.
• Using power tools like pneumatic wrenches in order to remove bolts easily and quickly.
• Using machine tools, such as grinding machines and lathes to rebuild brakes.
• Using common hand tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers, to work on small-scale parts.
• Writing vehicle damage repair estimates.
