Job summary

Mead & Hunt in Sacramento (CA) or Lexington (SC) seeks an Experienced Structural Engineer to lead projects and guide technical teams across our architecture and engineering practice. You will manage client meetings, oversee construction phase services, and strive for quality and efficiency on diverse assignments.

The ideal candidate will have a PE license, 6+ years of structural engineering experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• PE license in any state and ability to obtain in additional states as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical guidance to structural project teams.
• Manage and attend client meetings, ensuring project objectives are met.
• Oversee construction phase services with a focus on quality and efficiency.

As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Structural Engineer in our Sacramento (CA) or Lexington (SC) office locations.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead and provide technical guidance to structural project teams.

• Contribute to business development efforts with innovative solutions.

The successful candidate must have all the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in structural engineering
• PE license in any state and have the ability to obtain in additional states as needed

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Expertise in various structural design types, including concrete and steel.
• Experience in design and analysis for structural systems for various types of projects.
• Proven track record as a project lead.
• Commitment to sustainable design and innovation.

Salary Range: $110,000 and above – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
