This is not an entry‑level slate position; candidates should already have hands‑on slate roofing experience. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and matching slate roofs, working with copper flashing and specialty metals, and adhering to restoration standards on historic

Qualifications

• 3+ years of slate roofing or steep-slope roofing experience.
• Strong understanding of slate roofing practices and materials.
• Comfortable working on steep roofs with fall protection.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work outdoors year‑round.
• Willingness to pass a drug test and physical.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and restore natural slate, synthetic slate, and architectural shingle roofs.
• Match replacement slate on existing and historic roofs.
• Work with copper flashing, ridge caps, snow guards, and specialty metal details.
• Follow project specifications and historic restoration standards.
• Maintain safe, clean, OSHA‑compliant job sites.
• Work on residential, commercial, institutional, and historic properties across PA, NJ, DE, and MD.
