Job summary

Ken Garff Automotive Group, including Hyundai Southtowne, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician (Mechanic). Join a team that upholds respect, integrity, growth, humility and teamwork and participates in the PRO TECH program with rewards, tool allowances and performance-based bonuses.

You will diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer standards, use the DMS, maintain a clean workspace, and complete required training.

Qualifications

• Accommodating and analytical with precise, accurate work.
• Resourceful with a high level of technical expertise.
• Unselfish and approachable with detail-oriented work.
• Prior automotive technician experience preferred.
• ASE or dealership certifications preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. with a valid in-state license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform efficient and expert work on repair orders per standards.
• Address customers’ concerns with diagnosis, repair and QC (Fixed First Visit).
• Run the Ken Garff Electronic Multi Point Inspection with video and notify if more work is needed.
• Master the Dealer Management System (DMS) for work distribution and documentation.
• Complete required training as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness in workspace and customer vehicles.

Looking for:

• Accommodating and analytical, while producing highly precise and accurate work

What you’ll do as an Automotive Service Technician (Mechanic):

• Perform efficient and expert work on repair orders, in accordance with dealership, state and factory standards
• Address customers’ primary concerns with diagnosis, repair and quality control to attain ‘Fixed First Visit’ expectations
• Perform the Ken Garff Electronic Multi Point Inspection along with video on every vehicle; immediately notify Service Advisor if the car has additional recommendations or if more time is needed to complete the repair
• Master our Dealer Management System (DMS) for work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes, communication and time keeping
• Complete required training as assigned
• Maintain cleanliness throughout workspace and in all customer vehicles
