Securitas USA seeks an Experienced Security Officer for a part-time role in Hopkins, MN. The job focuses on access control, patrolling, and maintaining a secure environment for clients and their people and assets.

The ideal candidate has strong customer service, a calm demeanor under pressure, and at least 1 year of security experience. CPR/FA is preferred, with pre-employment screening required.

Experienced Security Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Hopkins, MN

Wage Range: $24.65-$21.90/HR

Schedule: Sat - Sun: 1400 - 2200

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including urinalysis drug screen and 10 year background investigation.
• CPR / FA certification.
• 1 year of security experience.
• Previous law enforcement / military experience preferred.
