Job summary

First Student is hiring part-time School Bus Drivers in Eastpointe, MI. You’ll start mornings with student pickups and return home in the afternoon, with opportunities for field trips and events. We provide training and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for fully credentialed CDL drivers.

Pay ranges from $23.27 to $27.75 per hour, with flexible split shifts, guaranteed minimum hours, and benefits including health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and career advancement across 540 locations.

Your day as a School Bus Driver will include:

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, emergency exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
