Responsibilities

• Complete roofing installations, tear-offs, reroofing, and repair work.
• Measure, cut, position, fasten, and seal roofing materials.
• Assist with metal roofing, asphalt shingles, coatings, flashing, waterproofing.
• Identify and report damaged decking, flashing, seams, fasteners, and roof penetrations.
• Operate roofing tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
• Follow project specifications and installation procedures.
• Maintain productive pace while meeting safety and quality standards.
• Support and guide less-experienced crew members when appropriate.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Protect customer property throughout the project.

Experienced Roofing Laborer

Location: Kailua-Kona, HI. This is an in-person position serving projects throughout Kona and surrounding Big Island communities.

Lava Roofing has more than 25 years of experience providing roofing construction, reroofing, repairs, and specialty roofing solutions throughout Hawaii. Our team brings professionalism, honest communication, and Aloha-driven service to every residential, commercial, and government project.

Lava Roofing is looking for an Experienced Roofing Laborer who can contribute immediately to projects throughout Kona and the surrounding Big Island area. This role is intended for a skilled roofing professional who understands proper installation methods, works safely and efficiently, and takes pride in producing clean, durable results. You will work with crew leadership to install, repair, and maintain roofing systems designed for Kona\'s demanding climate.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete roofing installations, tear-offs, reroofing, and repair work.
• Measure, cut, position, fasten, and seal roofing materials.
• Assist with metal roofing, asphalt shingles, coatings, flashing, waterproofing, and related systems.

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, W-2, nonexempt employment.
• Pay: $30 - $50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
• Overtime may be available depending on project schedules and will be paid in accordance with applicable law.
• Paid time off.
• Medical insurance with company contribution toward eligible employee premiums.
• Continuing training on new roofing systems and installation methods.
• Opportunities for advancement into Crew Foreman or other field leadership positions based on performance and business needs.
• Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday through Friday. Early morning start times, overtime, and occasional weekend work may be required based on project schedules and weather conditions.
