Houston Methodist invites applications for an RN II who provides professional nursing care, conducts assessments, assists with exams and treatments, and maintains medical records for a diverse patient population.

The role collaborates with physicians and the interprofessional team to coordinate care, lead unit initiatives, and serve as charge nurse or preceptor to students and new staff. Candidates should have Texas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 4 months, and Magnet certification preferred.

Formación

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• Texas RN licensure with 60-day permanent license requirement when establishing residency
• BLS and ACLS certification within specified timeframes

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional nursing care, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatments, and maintains medical records.
• Communicates and collaborates with physicians and interprofessional health care team to coordinate care and achieve outcomes.
• Assumes leadership roles including charge nurse or preceptor to students or new staff; contributes to unit and hospital initiatives.
• Educates patients and families, upholds patient rights, and advocates for culturally competent care.
