Job summary

Patrick A. Finn Ltd. in Palatine, IL, is seeking a skilled Residential Remodeling Carpenter to join a collaborative team that values craftsmanship and client satisfaction.

You will perform rough and finish carpentry across remodeling projects, read plans, and install cabinetry, trim, doors, and finish materials. The role requires 4–5 years of residential carpentry, a strong eye for detail, and the ability to work safely on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential remodeling or carpentry (4-5 years).
• Strong rough and finish carpentry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Working knowledge of residential building practices and building codes.
• Experience installing cabinetry, trim, doors, windows, drywall, framing, and finish materials.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable building codes.
• Support and guide less experienced carpenters while contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Continuously improve your craftsmanship while learning new techniques, products, and construction methods.

What You'll Do

As a Carpenter, you'll help bring residential remodeling projects to life while maintaining the high standards Patrick A. Finn is known for.
