Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking an Experienced Registered Nurse for Farr 11 - Medicine Telemetry. This Part-time, Per Diem rotating role provides direct patient care on a fast-paced inpatient unit, with a diverse patient population and complex comorbidities.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective nursing care while advocating for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required.
• Baccalaureate degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification are required.
• Experience in telemetry or med-surg nursing is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process.
• Assess health care needs, formulate, implement, and evaluate a care plan.
• Coordinate care with the health care team to ensure patient safety and quality.
• Maintain patient advocacy and communicate effectively with the team and families.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

We provide care to a complex patient population with a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses. For example; sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, diabetes, GI disorders, cancer, failure to thrive, and eating disorders. Patients often present with multiple comorbidities with complex social and/or psychiatric disorders. Candidates must possess strong communication and organizational skills, be adaptable, and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.**Job Description:**Provides direct care to patients and makes necessary nursing judgments. Responsible for systematically assessing the health care needs of individuals or groups and for the formulation of a care plan, its implementation and evaluation. Demonstrates the ability for decision making by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience in caring for patientsCoordinates the care of patients and directs assistive personnel in order to provide safe, effective, efficient, equitable and timely, patient-centered care. Demonstrates awareness of environmental forces on health care of patients and their families.
