Job summary

The Boeing Company in Richardson, TX is seeking an Experienced Real-Time Software Engineer - Simulation to join the SPD Training Software team. You will design and implement simulation models and visualizations to support testing of software and hardware across the product lifecycle.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of software development experience with Java and/or C++, and an active U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance required (within past 24 months considered active).
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years with Java and/or C++.

Responsibilities

• Designs, architectures, and develops simulation models, visualizations, virtual environments, and frameworks to improve test performance, safety, and durability of software/hardware systems.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to review simulation requirements and system dynamics; performs design, modeling, testing, and analysis.
• Collects and processes data for simulations; validates and refines code, models, tests, and environments against real-world data and benchmarks.
• Documents and maintains technical code, algorithms, and descriptions of simulation models.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
• Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the simulation software environment.
• Modernizes and migrates legacy simulation software to new operating systems; participates in Scrum meetings and Agile tooling.
