Job summary

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta seeks a BC Psychiatrist to join our growing programs in Augusta, GA. The role covers child/adolescent and adult populations with a mix of inpatient/outpatient settings, offering 5-day workweeks, daytime hours, and optional 1099 arrangements.

Leadership and collaborative multidisciplinary care are emphasized. Experienced physicians with 5+ years post-fellowship, GA license, and DEA eligibility are preferred; relocation and/or sign-on bonuses are available for

Qualifications

• Education: M.D./D.O. with Board Certification in General Psychiatry; BC in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry a plus.
• Training: Accredited Psychiatry residency; Child/Adolescent fellowship a plus.
• Licensure: Georgia medical license and DEA in good standing or eligibility.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years post fellowship preferred; treat ages 12 and older.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admission evaluations and develop treatment plans for child, adolescent, and adult patients.
• Participate in daily treatment team meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide ongoing treatment follow-up and ensure thorough documentation per facility guidelines.
• Supervise NPs as part of clinical leadership responsibilities.
• Coordinate with staff to deliver high-quality care.

Position Title: BC Psychiatrist needed for Growing Programs

Location: Augusta, GAThe Center provides comprehensive care for both children and adolescent populations with psychological issues, as well as adults facing psychiatric and substance abuse challenges. Beyond its clinical offerings, Lighthouse Care Center supports patient recovery with recreational activities and an accredited on-campus school, promoting wellness through physical activity and social interaction.

Position Overview

• Role: Full-time psychiatrist, Leadership position available
• Patient Population:Child/Adolescent and Adult populations
• Schedule:5 days a week, daytime hours.
• Weekend Coverage:1:4 Saturday/Sunday in-person rounding.
• Weekday Call:One evening call shift per week by phone only
• Employment Type: Full-time employed or 1099 position options. RTC/Inpatient/Outpatient mix, ideally child-adult populations
• Additional earnings potential:Extra call options and Productivity Bonus Plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct admission evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing treatment follow-up for child and adolescent patients.

• Complete required patient documentation and notes in accordance with facility guidelines.
