Position Overview

As a project manager at Henderson Engineers, you will contribute your expertise to our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue. Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all aspects of project execution and client experience on assigned projects; may support larger/more complex projects.
  • Assist with development of project proposals, contracts, and budgets.
  • Manage bid processes.
  • Plan and coordinate project deliverables on assigned projects; may support planning and coordination on larger/more complex projects.
  • Manage client service and project communication.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
  • Responsible for overall project performance.
  • Contribute to efforts to improve performance and ensure consistent adherence to applicable quality standards.
  • Support creating specific program project fees.
  • Manage client service and communication for specific program projects.
  • Responsible for successful execution of assigned program projects; may contribute to other program projects as needed.
  • Monitor project quality expectations on assigned projects; may support monitoring on other projects as needed.
  • Ensure deliverables meet project objectives and quality expectations.
  • Recognize project conflicts, make suggestions for resolution, and proactively work with other project leaders to resolve.
  • Manage project design and drafting activities to produce project deliverables; may support design and drafting activities on other projects as needed.
  • Serve as the primary project contact and brand ambassador.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction with the project process and engineering work product, and manage client views toward the best solution.
  • Resolve project-related conflict and respond to client requests and questions on assigned projects; may support these activities on other projects as needed.
  • Travel to certain locations for site visits as needed.
Required Qualifications
Mid-Level
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred. 4 years of relevant experience within the AEC or Professional Services industry will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
  • Have 5 years of relevant experience with design and/or construction on a variety of commercial building projects.
  • Have at least 1 year of relevant project management experience.
Experience Level
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, science, technology, or business preferred. 4 years of relevant experience within the AEC or Professional Services industry will be considered in lieu of requisite education.
  • 8 years of relevant experience required, including at least 4 years cumulative project management experience.
  • Proficiency in project management standards and execution required.
  • Have a passion for solidifying and nurturing current client and staff relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Revit, CAD, and/or Bluebeam.
  • Project management certification.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
