Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience using Revit in a professional setting.
  • Experience leading small projects through design and construction phases.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility, and life-safety principles.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.

Our Industrial Center of Excellence (ICoE) team continues to grow, and we are seeking a talented Lead Architect to join our award-winning practice supporting Federal, Industrial/Food, and Generation facilities.

Our team delivers functional, high-performance buildings with controlled environments, guided by responsible design practices and the principles of sustainability, LEED, and LEAN methodologies. Collaboration is central to our approach, with Building Information Modeling (BIM) serving as a key tool to communicate integrated 3D designs across project teams, owners, and construction partners. This position is ideal for a motivated architectural professional who is actively pursuing architectural licensure, progressing through the ARE examination process, and ready to take ownership of small projects while receiving mentorship from senior architects and project managers.

Your Impact
Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • 4-12 years of professional experience in an architectural or multidisciplinary A/E environment.
  • Actively pursuing architectural registration and currently progressing through the ARE examination process.
  • Demonstrated experience using Revit in a professional setting.
  • Experience supporting or independently leading small projects through various phases of design and construction.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and life safety principles.
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Architectural registration or progress toward licensure with several ARE divisions completed.
  • Experience with industrial, manufacturing, advanced technology, research, federal, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Experience with tenant improvements, renovations, additions, and new construction projects.
  • Familiarity with design-build and design-bid-build project delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design practices; LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred.
  • Experience using Navisworks, Bluebeam, or comparable project coordination software.
  • Ability to independently manage small projects, coordinate consultants, and serve as a client point of contact with support from senior staff.

Compensation

Expected Salary (all locations): $88,500 - $141,700

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
