Specialty Kraft Converters is seeking an EXPERIENCED Printing Press Operator for night shift in Edison, NJ. You will lead the press operations, oversee performance, and train on all facets of our integrated printing line while coordinating with the team.

The role requires proven printing/laminating/coating machine experience, forklift ability, and basic computer skills. Physical demands include lifting up to 70 lbs and standing for long periods.

SKC Lead Printing Press Operator EXPERIENCED (NIGHT SHIFT) – Edison, NJ

About Specialty Kraft Converters

Specialty Kraft Converters (SKC) is a privately owned domestic supplier of insulation vapor retarders and facings. We primarily supply residential building insulation manufacturers with printed and asphalt coated paper substrates. SKC is currently seeking a full-time EXPERIENCED PRINTING PRESS OPERATOR to join our organization. The manufacturing plant schedule for this position is 7PM – 7AM, 4 to 5 days per week. Ambient temperature could be 95 – 100F during summer months.

What We Offer You

• $23.27/Hr to start (PLUS $.75 Night Shift Differential) ($24.02/Hr NIGHTS) to start; Increase to $25.78/HOUR (Plus $0.75 Differential)($26.53/Hr) When Performing As Sole Lead Operator.

About the position

The successful candidate MUST have PRINTING, LAMINATING or COATING MACHINE EXPERIENCE. The position is at a senior level within our production line operational structure. We will train you on all facets of our integrated press. Once qualified, you will serve as an Operator or, in the absence of a Lead Operator, you will serve in that role while also overseeing the machine performance and throughput. Forklift experience along with general computer skills are also a necessity. The ability to use common shop tools is required. Excellent communication skills are a necessity to keep the operation running smooth.

The work requires physical exertion, the ability to learn and follow instructions, a keen eye for safety, some mechanical ability and a positive attitude. We are a company of dedicated individuals with a sense of urgency who will do whatever is required to supply our customers.

The job requires some heavy lifting (up to 70lbs.), the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, reach, stretch, twist and squat. Excellent communication skills and general proficiency with computers are required to manage the process. You must be able to read both a standard and metric tape measure and use it accurately.
