Job summary

American Leak Detection seeks an experienced plumber for Bakersfield, CA and High Desert, CA areas. The role involves slab and main line repairs, pool/spa work, and learning underground leak detection while serving residential and commercial clients.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, able to work outdoors in diverse conditions, and comfortable with flexible schedules including nights and weekends. Training and a company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with experience using power tools.
• Able to learn and use new technology.
• Pool plumbing experience and swimming comfort.
• Enjoy outdoor work in varying conditions.
• Flexible schedule including nights/weekends to serve customers.
• Capable of intermittent heavy lifting and physical labor.

Responsibilities

• Perform slab and main line repairs for residential and commercial customers.
• Perform manifold testing, partial bypasses and whole house reroutes.
• Perform pool/spa repairs including under deck pot repairs and skimmer replacements.
• Repair cement slabs and texture/aggregate pool deck surfaces.
• Install water monitoring and water shut off systems.
• Learn underground leak detection/location techniques.
• Provide professional customer service and communicate with team members/managers.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures and conditions.
• Submit electronic reports and photos of services performed.
