Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Plating Operator to support the plating department. You will handle hazardous chemicals, weigh and measure powders and liquids, and follow batch cards to plate materials including aluminum, copper, nickel, gold, and glass.

The role includes wastewater and boiler operation and a 10-hour shift schedule from 1:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Thursday with a 30-minute lunch. Work closely with process engineers, maintain safety protocols, and perform required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic English.
• Stand for long durations up to 8 hours and lift up to 40 lb.
• Forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work to a daily schedule and meet output targets.
• Input and review data on a computer for tracking and materials movement.
• Ensure chemicals and materials are weighed correctly and in proper sequence.
• Communicate across departments when issues arise.
• Operate forklift and move materials as needed.
• Assist process engineers with chemical process evaluations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on chemical machines.
• Complete departmental documentation accurately.
• Follow safety measures when handling chemicals and waste.
• Cross-functionally support milling team as needed.
