Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Journeyman Pipefitter for our commercial/industrial mechanical construction projects in the Arlington, TX area. You will install, assemble, and test piping systems across carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, and other materials, ensuring safety and code compliance.

The role requires 5+ years’ pipefitting experience, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to work independently or with welders and supervisors. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of pipefitting experience in commercial/industrial mechanical construction.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and P&IDs.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks, lifting 50+ pounds, and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and job specifications.
• Plan installation sequencing and coordinate with other trades.
• Install and assemble piping systems and supporting structures.
• Perform hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak testing as required.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety protocols.
