Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance in Michigan is seeking an entry-level Claims Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and settle claims in a structured training program. The role offers in-person training with the potential to work from home up to 3 days per week after onboarding.

Responsibilities include studying policies, communicating with claimants and agents, and developing skills in loss adjustment while pursuing any required licenses as allowed by state law.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in property/casualty claims handling.
• Ability to organize data, multi-task, and make independent decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to study and obtain adjuster's license if required.

• Learn and comply with Company claim handling procedures
• Develop entry-level claim negotiation and settlement skills

• Meet and communicate with claimants, legal counsel, and third-parties
